Akiko is originally from Hokkaido, Japan but has been a well loved potter in the Seattle area for over twenty-three years. Her work has been featured in Gourmet Magazine, countless exhibitions, and acclaimed restaurants world wide.

All of her pottery is handmade, wheel thrown or slab built, of stoneware clay that is fired in electric kilns at approximately 2110°F. Because of her process, all of her pieces are food safe, oven safe and dishwasher safe.
